The Colonizer is a heavy mechanical unit and the only unit which can be used to establish cities making it the starting unit for all factions. It is one of the two civilian units, which are incapable of outfitting weapons making them vulnerable to attacks by any enemy unit. They can however be outfitted with armor and devices in order to boost their survivability.
